Earlier this year, I photographed Yvonne and her kids, Adrianna and Ricky, and she invited me back to photograph her dad’s wedding. My first wedding photo shoot, and boy, I was excited!! I was glad that it was a small wedding because I’m a newbie and really haven’t had any practice doing something to this capacity, and because it was somewhat small and private, it was a perfect opportunity for me to practice. The wedding took place at Stonehaven Senior Center in Georgetown. Most of the events took place inside, and boy, the 50mm f1.4 made a big difference in low light, albeit it wasn’t wide enough. At this time, I didn’t have the 17-55mm yet, but the 50mm and the fisheye lenses were good enough (I’m starting to miss the fisheye). Overall, I had a blast with the family, and it was an excellent opportunity for me to learn about wedding photography. During the break, I went outside and saw the kids were hanging out by the playground, so I took this opportunity and clicked away. Fun, fun!!
And pictures of the kids outside.
